SPRING 2021: April 26th
Branches & limbs must be placed at your trash collection site
by 7 AM on Monday, April 26th
We will collect from each street one time only.
Any branches/limbs put out after the week of April 26th
will be your responsibility to dispose of.
Branches and limbs should be placed at your garbage collection site. The chipper/shredder will make a daily circuit around the Borough to pick them up. Limbs may be up to 6” in diameter and 4’ to 6’ in length. Do not bundle. Yard waste such as ornamental grass, garden residue, etc., will not be picked up. If you have material to be picked up and it has not been collected by Thursday during the collection week, please call 717-244-3475, Option 1, for the Borough Office. The Borough reserves the right to refuse items that do not meet the requirements and is not responsible for cleanup.
We cannot accept items such as branches, limbs, garden residue, ornamental grass, tree stumps and similar matter at our Public Works Facility. One option is to compost these items at home. Penn Waste does accept tree branches with your regular trash pickup. Penn Waste tree branch requirements include 48” maximum length, bundled and tied. You can also take them to the York County Solid Waste Authority, however, before doing this, visit their website at www.ycswa.com, or call them at 717-845-1066, for requirements and restrictions you will need to be aware of.
