COMPLAINTS
If you want to report non-compliance with
Red Lion Borough recycling regulations and/or illegal dumping and littering,

our Complaint Form.
Littering and illegal dumping are
monitored by the Red Lion Borough Codes Enforcement Officer, Public Works
Supervisor, and York Area Regional Police.
Why Litter?
We Care!
The Council and residents of Red Lion Borough care about
littering. No one wants to see litter on our streets and alleys.
Illegal dumping and littering:
- Pollute ground and surface water. Trash is often
tossed directly into streams and storm drains. Rainwater washes over trash
and percolates into groundwater.
- Introduces other health concerns that may result in
illness and injury.
- Decreases the value of properties that contain the
trash and also any adjacent properties.
- Attracts other crimes. People may think that if it’s
okay to dump trash in a certain place, then it’s okay to do other illegal
activities there.
- Discourages new residents and businesses.
- Takes away tax dollars that could be better spent to
serve the Borough.
- Decreases community worth, which further impacts other
social aspects of an area.
- Spoils the beauty of our land.
- Injures wildlife.
- Damages equipment or causes accidents.
If you see someone littering or illegally dumping, get
involved and report it as soon as possible. Your involvement will play a big
role in improving our quality of life in Red Lion Borough.
